Jeanie Scofield serves the Indiana Region 9 Workforce Board as the Business Representative appointed by Bartholomew County Commissioners. Ms. Scofield’s career includes a broad scope of business functional roles including Sales Development, Purchasing, Workforce Training and Development, Continuous Improvement, and Human Resources. Currently, Jeanie serves as Manager, Corporate Human Resources for ArvinMeritor in Columbus, Indiana.

Jeanie’s 25 plus years in the manufacturing sector has prepared her to serve on the Dream It Do It Steering Committee. Jeanie also serves as one of two co-Chairs for the Fundraising and Sustainability sub-committee.

A former high school English and Spanish teacher, Jeanie has a passion for relevance, currency, and usability in educational programming and opportunities. She states, “Technology affords everyone so much learning access these days. Students who have learned how to easily manage technology to their advantage are the ones who will stay in front of the learning curve. Employers perceive a distinct competitive advantage in this kind of learning orientation, because it results in knowledge resources being continuously renewed and refreshed.”

Jeanie enjoys volunteer work and finds it offers many valuable opportunities to learn while providing needed services that others appreciate. “I worked for Student Voluntary Services throughout my college years. It’s amazing to me that I still find myself drawing on learning from those personal experiences.”
